PK was born and raised in a diverse food and multi-cultural society of Malaysia. She enjoys exposure to diverse multi-ethnic, multicultural, and multilingual people. Study and work opportunities have allowed PK to live on 4 continents: Asia, Europe, North America and now Australia. She trained in art and design in Singapore, and later at the Pratt Institute in New York where she embraced and was inspired by the cultural capital of the world.
PK has more than 15 years of diverse experience as an interior designer in large scale healthcare, aged care, academic, commercial, hospitality, retail and environmental graphics and fit-out projects.
PK creates interiors known for their warmth, expressiveness and attention to detail. PK has a reverence for the inherent beauty of nature, colour psychology, sustainability (as a LEED accredited designer). Her aesthetic embraces global art and design, where each personalised space is enlivened with dynamic mixes of East and West and site-specific elements. PK incorporates these elements into every project to enhance well being for the end users.
PK’s portfolio of unique interiors includes an array of artistic and sophisticated public, commercial and institution projects in Asia, America and Australia. Recently, Bendigo Hospital won the 2018 Victorian Architecture Awards under the Public Architecture Category. She was a Lead Interior Designer for the Bendigo Hospital, while at STH.
In her free time, PK enjoy spending time with her family and 2 rescued dogs, Ginger (the naughty Boxer) and Chili (the kind and sweet Staffy-Mix). Her passion lies in exploring the world of art, food and culture. She enjoys spending time in nature. In 2018, she hiked the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu and the W-trek in Patagonia. The trip inspires her 2019 adventure, trekking in Bhutan. She values the spiritual connection to nature.
