Over the past 20 years, all the practices we have worked with have without exception, enjoyed remarkable success. In looking at these successes we have identified space planning and colour selection are key to great surgery design.

We understand many healthcare professionals would love access to our expertise, but aren’t in a position to commission our full design and documentation service. In response to this we have launched DesignPak. This new service includes a professional floor plan, a choice from a range of five colour finishes, and a choice from one of three reception desk designs for a competitively set fee.

ColourPak

A defining ambience can be created with the right coordination of finishes for laminates, paint, fabric, carpet and vinyl. Combinations of colour affect our moods and emotions in subtle yet powerful ways. It can therefore influence our decisions and perceptions. Patients certainly are more influenced by what they see than by what they hear. With this in mind we have created five colour schedules based on classic Australian environments, which make up our ColourPak range.

For a fixed cost any one of the five colour schedules can be provided.

FloorPak

The key to a functional and efficient surgery is space planning, and the core of a space plan is in the separation of three clear zones. Public space, Clinical space and Private space. Separating these zones, and establishing creative ways in which they connect, results in greater patient comfort and privacy, efficient workflow and also staff comfort.

FloorPak offers the valuable opportunity of having a professionally designed floor plan at a very affordable price. Often, this is left to equipment installers or builders to determine. Competitively priced, FloorPak costs between $2000 and $5000 depending on the number of square metres.

DeskPak

The reception desk is a critical element in any practice fit out. It’s generally the first thing patients or visitors will see, and therefore, it’s often what their perceptions of the practice are based on. Given the importance of the reception desk design we have incorporated DeskPak into our DesignPak service. DeskPak offers a choice in one of three reception desk designs for a set cost. A worthwhile investment in any practice’s image.


Before the design process even begins, we can assist in a number of areas with our pre-design services. Through these services, we can help with anything from locating suitable sites, negotiating lease terms or conducting feasibility studies to determine viable land purchase or building costs for those looking to build, purchase land or extend.

Site and Location
We can advise on how much space is necessary for the number of surgeries required. Additionally, we can research the market for suitable surgery space, taking into account patient demographics, council zoning, parking codes and lease or purchase costs.

Lease Negotiation
Commercial leases include a range of complex options. Knowing which areas are negotiable can be an enormous advantage, which is where we can help. With our knowledge and experience we can assist with this process to ensure the best possible leasing terms are achieved.

Feasibility Studies
For property owners planning to build or extend, we can conduct real estate reviews of comparable sites in any given locality. From our review, we can produce a report indicating the viable land and building budget based on the local commercial returns to investors.

Fee Structures
