Nestling in an idyllic rural landscape, this contemporary residence takes full advantage of the ample space and light afforded by its location.
Levitch Design Associates were commissioned very early on in the architectural planning stages of the project, to assist our clients with internal space planning, selection of external colour palettes, specification of hard finishes which included travertine marble flooring, pool tiles, exterior marble slabs for outdoor areas and fireplace surrounds. We even provided designs for the bespoke metal front gates and large timber entry door.
Built-in joinery in living areas, kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, home theatre and indoor BBQ area were all designed by LDA. Internal passage doors were also designed, to continue the rectilinear theme of the house, as were the coffered ceilings with their soft concealed lighting. Various loose furniture items such as the large office desk, formal dining table and traditionally-inspired large hallway armoire were individually designed, and hand-made by master craftsmen.
The brief also included the selection of internal colours and finishes, tapware and bathroom fittings, loose furniture and soft furnishings, window treatments and decorative elements. LDA sourced the large artwork for areas specifically designed to include art, and commissioned or helped select other artwork pieces throughout the house.
The end result is a house that has evolved over its construction period, into a beautiful and serene sanctuary for its owners and their family and friends, to enjoy for many years to come.
