Anne Levitch_Director
As Founding Director, Anne Levitch has over 30 years experience in providing design services and design management. She established LDA in 1988 after being offered a number of commissions in the retail, healthcare, and commercial sectors. With a degree in Industrial Design and prior experience operating a Graphic Design consultancy, it was the commencement of a multi-disciplinary design practice.

Anne has built the consultancy from a solid base through constant referrals. She has ensured the core success of the company by establishing strong communication and following through by confirming the specific parameters of the project links with the client’s understanding from the outset.

Each project through the company receives her personal attention. Her natural ability to satisfy individual client’s needs directly and indirectly has ensured a continual stream of commissions. Clients continue to return as their business needs develop – whether they expand‚ relocate‚ restructure‚ or refurbish. Anne has a strong vision in mind for the continual development of Levitch Design Associates in refining approach‚ broadening the scope and constantly redefining systems to support improvement of service to clients.

Anne was invited to lecture on Environment Design in the Faculty of the Built Environment at University of NSW, which she did over a 5–year period. In 2002, The Design Institute of Australia (DIA) made her an Honorary Fellow for service to the design industry. In 2008, Anne was invited by the Dental Advisory Committee of University of Auckland, New Zealand to conduct a course on Dental Practice Design & Presentation.

With an undergraduate thesis on Ergonomics in the Dental Surgery, and a solid knowledge of Retail Design parameters, she has combined the two to support LDA's growing client base in providing healthcare environments that work extremely well and contribute to higher treatment plan acceptance rates.

Anne is committed to supporting the growth of Australian designers and is an annual guest judge for The DIA Graduate of the Year Awards. She is a regular contributor to industry publications and attends summits on the future of healthcare design in order to provide LDA's clients with innovative design solutions.

Passionately committed to the continuing research and study of the best possible healthcare environment for patients and practitioners, she continues to offer these skills to LDA clients.


Genna Levitch_Director
Dr Genna Levitch brings 30 years of management skills to LDA. He has owned and managed a number of diverse businesses including dental practices, a publishing company, a chain of hot bread retail outlets and a property development company.

Genna is a dentist by profession and has an intimate working knowledge of healthcare needs. He has personally established several dental practices including a 'greenfield' site, and continues to consult in this area providing architectural and tenancy feasibility studies for LDA's clients. He provides in-house expertise to assist LDA's building, interior and graphic design teams in their delivery of healthcare solutions.

With his background experience in property development, Genna is the person who provides invaluable support for clients who wish to establish a practice, assisting in site sourcing and selection, as well as the preparation of Feasibility Reports to assist in the decision making process.

He is a regular contributor to industry publications, writing on all facets of healthcare design, from the marketing professional services to establishing practice site suitability. In 2008, he was invited by the Dental Advisory Committee of University of Auckland, New Zealand to conduct a course with Anne Levitch on Dental Practice Design & Presentation.

Genna's role in LDA has expanded with the growth of the company. He oversees the smooth operation of the office as Manager for Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, and Marketing. Genna’s wide range of business, management and strategic planning skills continue to ensure the stable growth of LDA.

Antony Poate_Manager Healthcare Interiors

Antony Poate joined LDA as an Interior Designer in 2002. Since then he has gained considerable experience in the specialised area of healthcare. His successes in this field have ensured his progression into the role of Manager for Healthcare Interiors.

With over two decades of design experience, Antony has an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the design, documentation and construction process. Having worked with a number of high-profile architectural and interior design firms, Antony has completed a broad range of projects across a variety of disciplines, including commercial office fit outs and building refurbishments, hospitality, residential, retail and landscape design. His initial training included Graphic Design and Interior Design and he also completed the Certificate IV in Building Studies.

With his broad range of experience, Antony is well qualified to assist clients in all areas of their project from concept to completion.

Jeremy Edghill_Senior Project Designer
Jeremy Edghill qualified in the UK, studying architecture at Edinburgh College of Art. He previously designed for Nightingale Associates, a leading UK architectural practice at the forefront of European healthcare design where he worked on London’s Healthcare Trusts and redesigning St Bernard’s Hospital.

More recently, after a foray into commercial interiors including work for Taylor Woodrow, Jeremy has focused on hospitality & hotel design, working with Richmond International in London and Chhada Siembieda, Australia, on diverse projects in London, Dubai, and Budapest. Jeremy has also worked locally, renovating Sydney’s Sheraton on the Park and designing for the Westin brand in Fiji and Jakarta.

Todd O'Donnell_Senior Project Designer

Todd has an extensive and diverse design background. Qualified in Industrial Design, he initially worked in the mining and engineering sectors before moving into commercial and retail interior design. With 15 years of experience, he has held senior positions with interior design & construct firms including managing teams on projects ranging from exclusive retail boutiques to large scale roll-outs. Since joining LDA in 2008 he has been heavily involved in the design and delivery of a substantial specialist medical practice roll-out throughout NSW.

Todd enjoys all aspects of the design process and has a considered approach from the outset with priorities on function and aesthetics, while taking into account the realities of manufacturing processes, timelines and budget. He has also developed a particular interest in the utilization of 3D software as an effective design and communication tool.

Danielle Bennett_Interior Designer
danielle-bennet Danielle joined the interior team in 2008. After being an integral part of a successful practice rollout over 13 sites she left us to welcome new son Bailey. We are delighted to welcome her back the the team.

Linda Lin_Interior Designer
Linda graduated in 2004 with Scholarship in Master of Architecture in Sustainable Design from University of Auckland.

Linda started her involvement in interior design by working in the retail design and construction industry in 2005. Her previous experience includes retail design and site co-ordination with contactors in various shopping centres. In 2006, she joined DEM and since then she has focused on commercial design, space planning and detail documentation.

Linda is interested in all aspects of the architectural and design experience. She explores the multi-faceted relationships created by public spaces and devises fusion through using design as a facilitator to the patient/practitioner relationship. She brings her nuanced and cross-disciplinary knowledge to the area of Healthcare Design with LDA.

Mark Medcalf_Interior Designer
mark-medcalf Mark has over 20 years experience within the Architectural and Design fields. He has worked on a variety of projects from small boutique fitouts to major developments throughout Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney, he has also worked on various international projects.

Mark has a proven track record for high quality documentation, supported by a strong technical background and considerable industry experience. He has a dedicated commitment to quality assurance, along with the ability to carry a project from conception through to completion.

Mark has completed a wide range of projects across a variety of sectors including commercial fitouts, residential apartments and public institutional developments. More recently, he held a pivotal role in the completion of a large multi-million dollar 5 Star, Senior Living Development in Wollongong NSW, which has became the design benchmark for Senior Living in Australia.

Mark brings to LDA a vast wealth of experience and enjoys the enormous challenges that each project presents, while developing and delivering creative solutions.

Phoebe Morrison_Interior Designer
Phoebe Morrison graduated from the University of Technology, Sydney with a Bachelor of Design in Interior Design. She has worked with LDA since 2007. In this time she has collaborated on extensive healthcare projects including, eyecare, radiology, ear nose & throat, orthodontic and dental practices.

Wayne Allsop_Senior Graphic Designer
A design graduate from UTS, Wayne has 15 years experience in the Graphic Design and Advertising industries.

Starting out in magazine design, Wayne moved into the corporate world where he was responsible for the design and production of a wide variety of print and digital projects. The bulk of his experience lies in the areas of corporate identity/branding campaigns, annual reports/corporate literature, integrated advertising campaigns and websites.

Before joining LDA Wayne was lead creative on a number of commercial property branding campaigns for clients such as Leighton Properties, Colliers International and DEXUS Property Management.

Marketing & Business Development
Kimberley Ward_Business Development & Marketing Manager
Kimberley joins LDA with over 6 years marketing and business development experience gained in Australia and the UK in the property, legal and management consulting sectors.

Kimberley completed a BA (Communications and Cultural Studies) and a B Commerce (Marketing) at the University of Wollongong whilst working in the retail marketing team at Stockland in various roles. Bitten by the travel bug, she moved to London to work and play, before returning home in late 2007.

In her time abroad, Kimberley rubbed shoulders with the rich (though not necessarily famous) organising events and producing marketing material for one of London's major law firms, completed a 6 month stint as marketing manager of a Europe wide management consultancy, marketed 6 product line teams in an international property agency, and found a new appreciation for cider and a sunday roast. Upon her return, Kimberley continued to expand her experience in property, joining the marketing team of property developer Ashington in 2007.

Summer Thompson_Business Development & Marketing Manager
Summer is currently on Maternity Leave.

Summer Thompson joined the creative team of LDA as the Business Development Manager in early 2006. Summer, who holds a B.A. in Art History & Theory, has extensive experience in design, public relations and communications having launched her own Internet & Multimedia production company where she managed multi-disciplinary design projects for clients including: The University of Sydney, Bloom Cosmetics, Mambo and The United Nations, Tokyo.

Summer later joined The Schiavello Group as the National Marketing, PR & Communications Consultant where she designed and implemented marketing campaigns, brand strategy and corporate identity rollout. At Schiavello, she gained experience within the field of commercial interior design, working with clients including KPMG, Price Waterhouse Coopers, Nestle and MBF on interior fit-out projects.

Summer has a thorough understanding of the design and building process, along with over 10 years commercial experience in brand design / development and strategic marketing directions, three of those within the specialised field of healthcare design. Summer is well qualified to interpret, conceptualise and realise each clients individual design requirements. Summer is a regular columnist for ADP magazine and has lectured on Branding & Practice Presentation.

Sammy Collins_Studio Assistant
Sammy has taken a huge leap into the visual arena of life, having spent almost three decades living and breathing the aural side of the arts. Radio Announcer, Live Concert organiser/promoter and Music Director for the ABC’s Double & Triple J, Marching band drummer, Dancer with the Sydney Dance Company, amongst many other things ‘sound’.

A dedicated advocate for the learning curve of life, she brings to LDA a love for all things creative and artistic as well as an eclectic mix of the off beat and unusual. Sammy is in training to become the oldest office ‘junior’ on permanent life’s work experience and hopes the talented good souls she works with will be enriched, enlightened, even bemused. In her role as studio assistant Sammy relishes this opportunity to work with the team to plum the depths and breadth of all that is the good ship LDA.

Stephen Clark_Information Technology
Stephen has jumped on many a band wagon over the years accumulating varied and obscure talents. He is a licensed carpenter, a practiced musician, an ornithologist and park ranger. He worked in the Australian Museum Exhibitions AV Department and has worked on numerous music festivals as a Stage and IT Manager.

Stephen has been a part of LDA's family since its birth over 20 years ago, as in-house IT Manager and Networking Designer, dealing with all things Apple Mac.

Rachel Levitch_Digital Consultant

Rachel has been studying in different fields of design since 2001. With a Diploma in Furniture Design already under her belt, she has experience in Product Design, 3D Modeling & Animation, Digital & Analogue Photography plus Composition & Retouching and more recently; Pre Press Design and Web Design & Build.

In 2008, Rachel completed her Bachelor of Digital Media at UNSW CoFA majoring in Web Design & Photography, graduating with Distinction. In 2010 Rachel jumped ship and is studying a Bachelor of Oral Health at Sydney Uni. She still works as a digital consultant at LDA and ARKIPAK.

Rachel balances her digital world with a black and white darkroom where no computers exist and on the weekends you'll find her jumping rocks on bicycle trails.

Esther Li_Management Accountant CA
Esther is a Chartered Accountant with high standards in everything she applies herself to. Self-driven with a continual thirst for further knowledge, she runs the Financial Department of LDA with consistency and assiduousness.

Annette Vains_Librarian
Annette Vains is LDA's Library Manager. Annette has worked within the architectural and interior design industry for over 20 years and brings with her a wealth of experience.

She holds a Diploma of Interior Design and a Diploma of Colour Theory. Over the years, Annette has worked with numerous architectural and commerical design practices and also the specialised area of expatriates living in Australia. She has considerable experience managing architectural libraries and textile wholesaling.

Annette is passionate about all the facets of design, especially colour and textile design.
